BlackBerry Curve 8520 - a womans opinion!

By

BlackBerry 8520 Curve

I have had my BlackBerry 8520 since April of last year, and I love it.

A lot of people who first saw the phone exclaimed, how on earth do you press the buttons?! It's something you soon get the hang of!

The BlackBerry 8520 Curve offers you the full QWERTY keyboard (which has helped my keyboard skills with all the texting!) and a track pad which is touch sensitive and works a treat! I have 2 email accounts with many apps available through BlackBerry such as Face book, Twitter, My Space and eBay plus many more. Even Windows Live Messenger works in the background with ease, though too many apps going can drain your battery!

The Curve has a basic camera and video camera option which suit me fine as mega pixels are not my thing. As long as it takes a picture it will do me, otherwise I would simply have brought my digi camera.

It has all the things i require.. bluetooth, simple camera, emails delivered straight to my inbox on my phone; text messages and MMS messages are so easy and simple. It has loads of memory and i have several albums stored when i want to plug in my ear phones and listen to my fave tracks for a bit. I can google as often as i like and at any time of day. The screen is nice and big and i can put on any ringing tone or alert going. I love my BlackBerry Curve (if you hadn't noticed?!)

It has bad points..

It can freeze every now and again when its trying to load an Internet page up. Sometimes only a battery pull can solve the problem which means it re boots and kind of re sets itself.

It has no 3G.. but of course.. that depends if your bothered?!

2 mega pixel camera (also if your bothered?)

A plastic case was supplied with my phone when i got it, and it has kept the phone in fantastic condition. If you saw how badly the case was scratched, my phone would have been in a right mess!! So if you wish to keep your phone in good condition, there are a large variety of cases available.

I recommend this phone if you want a not too expensive phone that can offer you a mini internet for a few needs!

Best 5 BlackBerry Smartphones 15 months ago

Hey Tamar thanks for your opinions on this BlackBerry smartphone handset. While the Curve 8520 is an older model compared to some newer versions like the Storm 2 and the Torch 9800 now it is still a very good smartphone for people who want an affordable smartphone. You can see the latest features compared to this model on this page if you are thinking of upgrading.
